Now this was months ago when I was invited by my friends from GMA Artist Center and Media Contacts PH to essentially watch a twinky heartthrob do crunches in front of me at Gold’s Gym Tomas Morato. Timely enough, I’ve been planning to go to the gym myself to get healthy (yeah, right!) and learning how fast Alden Richards shaped up for the Cosmopolitan Magazine Bachelor Bash (which I ultimately missed btw) really helped me decide to go to the gym even more determined than ever.

So now, yeah ogle at the hunky cuteness that is Alden Richards, hehe

Backlog Progress Report

20121112-062157.jpg

Yepp, I’m in the middle of werq-related shit, and currently pulling an all-nighter (ah, well it’s morning already, so fuck eeeeeet) and neither the two us, here with my friend Vince, are finished. I’m tempted to tease you though with what I’ll be blogging in the next days (God, I need a free day) but I’d rather you guys be excited about it.

But, I’ll be starting a mini-travel series, some news about our generous brand friends, and a little big (labo, haha!) gossip in the local blogging industry.

So I hope you’re not bummed there (’cause I am with all the lack of sleep) and you keep tuned in to my little happy space.

Til free time decides to bug me,
J

Hello, I miss you

20121109-141740.jpg

It’s been more than one week since I posted here, and I’ve been itching to blog about a lot of things (especially, my long weekend at Boracay!) but I’ve been really busy and tired… and yes, lazy haha (huhu!) So I wish I really get the time to get back to all of you… I miss this place, my happy, infinite place ;(

I really like the cute character designs and how they represent each pain! Uh, not pertaining to that pain… NO EMO ALLOWED HAHA!

Sep 25, 2012, 5:44 PM

The skulldriver is my ultimate enemy outside of this app. I’d have emotions while killing this mofo. Hahaha talk about getting real about it!

Sep 25, 2012, 5:43 PM

This one’s my favorite, really showed you what a cramp is!

Sep 25, 2012, 5:43 PM

Unfortunately, it’s only available on Android. I wish they made one for iOS, though. You can download the app on Google Play here.

Oct 19, 2012, 12:43 PM

How to start? Players just have to initially purchase specially marked MEDICOL ADVANCE 5’s Pack at Mercury Drugstore and Watsons Pharmacy. Then they simply register at Medicol.ph, enter the scratch code found on the Ibufluid MEDICOL ADVANCE 5’s pack, scan the special TAPOUT PAIN barcode to unleash one of the Pain Monsters, and it’s game on!

Vintique is App of The Weeque

Haha, idk why I typed that, but it just rhymes and it sounds good. LOL!

20121019-125748.jpg

Ayway, this week, the App Store introduced its App of the Week featuring Vintique. At first glance Vintique looks like your usual Instagram shit – filters, frames, and that kind of stuff you see going on almost every Instagram-inspired app. But Vintique is different. It has more filters, and it has Photoshop-level powers! I think photographers who don't have time to open their laptops to edit their photos can take advantage of this app. It has saturation, temperature, tint, hue, exposure, and gamma levels available for tweaking if you're one OC photographer.

What I don't know is if it's a paid app before it became App of the Week. It wouldn't hurt to download it now, just in case it is though, haha.

You can download Vintique directly on your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad here:

Aweswang!

Got to watch TIKTIK: THE ASWANG CHRONICLES last Monday, and I am proud to share with all of you that it is the very first Filipino film produced in a green screen entirely. The movie which ran in a budget of roughly 80 million pesos, is a good showcase of Filipino talent and that the Philippine cinema need not be behind the big Hollywood companies who does digital cinema. One thing I like about it is the character design which really is an evidence if painstaking plannimg and revision until they have come up with an impeccable roster (lol, pun. You’ll find out why if you’ll watch) of digitally made CGI characters.

One setback though is that I find the story a little undeveloped, but not entirely. The plot is good and very Filipino I just wished it could have been more… developed. The pacing is a little awkward at times though, but I thik this one is a trend among digital films here in the Philippines.

It’s a long way to go, but hey, it’s a good thimg we can expect more beautiful Filipino digital films made in the future. Kudos to Direk Erik Matti and his team, and thanks Origin 8 Media for inviting me :)

Catch Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles in theaters near you!

Got a chance to meet American Idol runner-up Jessica Sanchez last September, thanks to Bench who got the young Filipina onboard as one of its Global Benchsetters along with pop singer Maroon 5’s Adam Levine, and K-pop sensation Super Junior’s Siwon and Dong Hae.

It was stunnimg to see Jessica, especially a lot of Filipinos were big fans of her during while she was competing for the AI title. Add to that, that she is really so young and already making waves im the industry. It’s just a wow to meet her!

Social, you say?

I’m too busy to stay at one place to open a computer and check my online accounts. Consider also that my work revolves around social networks, and that doesn’t really discount that I stay home all-day to check Facebook and Twitter… and the never-ending list of social media platforms. So thank the heavens for apps that makes our online and mobile lives easier. With the right device (battery is an issue here!) and mobile connection, you’ll never have to say… “late status” ever again!

WordPress

Oct 13, 2012, 5:00 AM

It’s a no-brainer that my first social app to put here is my blog platform! I really love how WordPress did their iPad app. It’s convenient, and minimal. It’s easy to use with one thing that I wish they put in the updates in the future – I wish there’s an option to easily upload multiple photos. Aside from that, I can totally live with blogging using an iPad only.

Tumblr

Oct 13, 2012, 5:10 AM

Need you Tumblr fix? It’s available in your phone/tablet… All you need is connection and you can post, reblog, and like posts from this app. You can also manage ALL your accounts, so it’s easy to shift from one Tumblr account to another. Woohoo!

Get Glue

Oct 13, 2012, 5:12 AM

For those not familiar with Get Glue, it is a social media platform that highlights media like TV shows, movies, books, music, among others. With their updated app, you can now learn more about the movie or TV show that you’re watching in the app!

Foodspotting

Oct 13, 2012, 5:10 AM

This one’s for the foodies out there! Using GPS, Foodspotting locates the nearest food places and also shows the pictures people have shared. Now that’s one convenient app to find out where to go on your next big date!

Soundcloud

Oct 13, 2012, 5:14 AM

Mainstream or hipster, you’ll love this app if you love music! Share your favorite music through this app, and discover some new upcoming bands and music along the way, too!

Flipboard

Oct 13, 2012, 5:05 AM

I bet you didn’t expect to see this here. But as for news sharing (add to that reading your tweets in a very organized way) Flipboard is your reading buddy!

Pinterest

Oct 13, 2012, 5:01 AM

Pinterest is one of the fastest growing social media platforms nowadays, and I wouldn’t be surprised if most, if not all, people would gravitate towards this photo and video sharing, moodboard-inspired platform. Pin, re-pin, and browse with all ease… and mobility using this app!

BBM/iMessage

Oct 13, 2012, 5:15 AM

Oct 13, 2012, 5:02 AM

Messaging is becoming innovative these days! What I love about these two apps is that they have a “Delivered-Read” function that relays to the sender if his/her message has been read or delivered. It’s really great if you have important messages and you need to know if the person has read it or not. Also, you can share media through these, which made it pretty much more awesome…

Grindr

Oct 13, 2012, 5:00 AM

I won’t even pretend that I use this, haha! I mean c’mon, it’s the world’s leading gay location-based chatting app! I won’t explain how it works, ’cause I think it’s pretty obvious, haha! Took a screenshot while it hasn’t loaded other people though, we don’t want outing people, do we? *WINK*

Instagram

Oct 13, 2012, 4:59 AM

The first app that I was so excited to use when I got my iPad is Instagram! It still is the world’s leading photo-sharing app, and don’t you love the filters? It’s integrated too with Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Flickr, Foursquare, and email that makes it one of the most powerful photo-sharing app also… Only if it has an iPad version… Hello Instagram, iPad is a mobile device too!

***

So the next big question is, what do you use to stay connected 24/7? I don’t know about you, but I use Globe Mobile Data services! To know more about Globe’s mobile data services and options, log on to http://surf.globe.com.ph/ and start enjoying these social apps!

Current mood: The Fray

I miss my blog, and I am dying to tell you all my life’s little adventures… but before I begin, let me introduce, if not reintroduce, this song. Lately, I’ve bought the Nomad Manager‘s iPod classic, and I’ve been listening to my old tunes. I instantly dug up my The Frays and Nickelbacks, and suddenly — it’s a whirlwind to 2010.

Over My Head is one of The Fray’s most hurtful yet beautiful songs. It’s one of those songs I listen to when I’m sad… or too happy. I don’t know, it just kinda reels me back to reality… and apparently back or towards to another beginning.

The past few weeks have been full of some endings and new beginnings… and better going-ons. Rollercoaster life is rollercoaster.

Enough of that though, I’m happy and I’m sleepless and I’m going to blog out this insomniac’s adrenaline. It’s a 36-hour day ahead of me. Weeeeeeee!

Let’s rearrange
I wish you were a stranger I can disengage.
Just say that we agree and then never change
Soften a bit until we all just get along.

Gayuma lang katapat

1. Abra is so cute. Bow. Hahahahaha.
2. FINISH THIS VIDEO TO THE END.
3. Learn some moves.
4. I am not a fan of rap.
5. If you read my blog, you know why I posted this
6. You can also refer to point number one, haha!
