PhFW Holiday ’12: Off The Ramp!!!

After all the crazy running around the MOA complex, finding people, and coordinating with friends, PR, and other more people, you just find yourself crazier and more whacked out after Philippine Fashion Week — you do these kind of stuff, hehe:

Day 1

Terry Richardson-esque by VPG

Werq it Jake!!!

Oxygen asymmetrical tee, Solo (Vince’s) jacket, Guess raw denim pants, trusty ol’ military boots

PhFW Holiday ’12: Design Fusion | Visions & Trends | Ready To Wear

Design Fusion Collection

Bo Parcon

1

Enrico Carado

2The Egyptian – Aztec – Tribal feel worked with unique cuts and those sky high shoes by Joco Comendador

Jaki Penalosa

3Pina is incorporated into different silhouettes and cuts

Visions & Trends Collection

Happy Andrada

4Eerily clinical

Jan Garcia

5Maximalist and nomadic with layers and drapes.

Oz Go

6Ombre is back in vogue for next season! I love the big lapel on the third photo

Regine Dulay

7

Russel Villafuerte

8Good to see mixed fabrics, especially the leather-sheer combo. Very grungy!

Ready To Wear Collection

Dave Ocampo

10

[Emi Englis is a part of this collection, but I cannot find my photos of his clothes. I apologize for this.]

Harley Ruedas

11Print on denim? WHY NOT?

Jian Lasala

12One of my favorites from the whole show. Minimally well thought of ideas of design are really orgasmic for me.

John Guarnes

13

Mike Lavarez

14Another favorite designer which really showed a different collection this season. It may be simple in one look but look carefully for Mike’s attention to detail

Nixon Marquez

15Nixon’s 90’s carefree attitude and style in his clothes are very evident. I love the looseness and the monochrome in this collection.

Congratulations to all the designers who put so much love and effort for this show! It was great to see Filipinos really have talent – in whichever field they choose!

PhFW Holiday ’12: Premiere B

Albert Andrada

11Gold and white really looks good together. I love also the clinical feel.

12

13Details on lapels and pockets, very subtle.

14

15Oriental and clinical

16

17Can you imagine how intricately these dresses have been made?

18

Bandoix Flores

21

22

23

24

25

26

27The one in the middle is my favorite from the whole collection

28

29

Butz Fuentes

31

32These look very minimal and comfortable to wear. I like the white details.

33

34Shoulder and collar details.

35Cutouts looks intricate, but is the least of my favorite.

36

37

38The one on the left reminds me when Marc Jacobs wore a Commes des Garcons lace dress to the Met Gala.

DSC_0735

Ezra Santos

41

42The menswear looks like dhoti kurta of the Indians. The lace details are a naughty addition.

43Metallics incorporated to dresses. And more lace numbers for the men.

44I’m not keen with the old rose color, but when combined with metallic details, it kinda works for me.

45

46

47Shoulder details for both men and women

48…and headdresses!

49

410

411From all the menswear, the one in the right is my favorite because of all the drape details.

412

DSC_0773

Kermit Tesoro

51Gold, black, and metals seemed to be the theme with the heelless shoes Tesoro has been known for.

52

53Some of the pieces are still reminiscent of his Knights Templar – inspired menswear collection which he presented in Style Origins’ Mensweek

54But he takes it to another level – they’re not just shoes, they’re HOOVES *surreal!*

55

56The brown heelless pair is so minimal!

57

58

59

510And for the final two looks, Tesoro featured crab claw heelless shoes. I bet those models had a difficult time strutting those because they look so calculated while walking!

And my Philippine Fashion Week coverage isn’t over yet! UP NEXT is Oxygen #EverydayJeans and their new fashion (and color) forward collection!

Stay tuned, guys!

PhFW Holiday ’12: The Ramp – Crossings

DSC_0556

AND IT’S TIME FOR MY PHILIPPINE FASHION WEEK REVIEW! First show I saw this season, which also opened the whole week of fashion smorgasbord, is The Ramp – Crossings with Mixology.

1

2I love the suspenders, and how that kid’s so dapper! Mixology is all about mixing these bold and subtle prints with color!

3Mix the pantone of the year (Tangerine) with these light and pastel colors, and end with a slightly bolder color  for shoes.

4

5

6Ready for the holiday vacay?

7Patterns + Colors x Layers

8

9

10Plaid seems to be having a come back this year

11

12But neutrals are classics. Accentuate with colors and defining cuts

13

14Gold/chrome/copper/metal tones + prints

15Florals and animal prints are still fighting fierce this season, as it has been for the past couple of.
