The Gallery

During my very short stay in Singapore, I was booked at The Gallery Hotel. The 10-storey hotel is simple, spacious, and relaxing with its fast service and impeccable accommodation facilities. I was there for just less than 24 hours and spent most of the time out that I really can’t comment most about it. But I love The Gallery, service and design-wise. When I arrived at night, a bunch of Filipino crew greeted and accommodated me warmly. The omnipresence of Filipinos in the international scene is a rather comforting fact for a fellow Filipino! Pilipinas Represent!

SG Teaser

Been back from SG since Sunday night and I’m kinda organizing my thoughts (and photos) for now. Singapore in less than 24 hours has been fun, but it is still a lil’ bit exhausting. But even so, I really enjoyed in the City of the Lion, and I am very grateful to have been given the chance to go there (for free!)

The Esplanade at Marina Bay, Singapore

The view of the Esplanade (Theatres on the Bay) from the river cruise is such a relaxing vantage, don’t you think? Trivia: This building is patterned after a durian fruit! I am really in awe at the sight of this building and actually proud as it is patterned after a fruit only found in the Philippines! ERRATUM: Abundant in the Philippines, but can be found elsewhere in the world. Thanks to Pate Salonga for correcting me :)

This is just one of the many amazing structures I’ve taken photos of. I’m so excited to share it with you! Thanks to MTV Asia for sponsoring this trip!

Tune in for more…

specifically didn’t watch this before my SG trip because I think it’ll disturb me, even if it is not in Singapore. Nonetheless, this should not pass without justice. I suggest you read the whole post by clicking source.

I bid all nations to respect all races, nationalities, and gender – whether they have brothers and sisters who made mistakes. Stereotyping is very medieval and ancient, don’t you think? Time to grow up, Indonesia.

I pray for peace of mind for this blogger and his friend and equality for the world.

P.S. I have to thank Singaporeans for being nice and accommodating. ESPECIALLY cab drivers who knows their way, have spare change, and does not go around circles just to raise the bill.

I ❤ SG,
J

Who do you think will win?

Jonver goes SG for MTV Asia!

One stressful day, this came in my e-mail:

STOOOOOOKED! Nevermind going to Singapore, but the fact that MTV Asia invited me there is enough! I am really grateful for all the opportunities this blog is opening for me! Thank you, thank you MTV Asia!

However, I had a little bit of a problem because my passport is a year and a couple of months expired already. I had to have it extended. Good thing, DFA has this public memo about extension. AND YES, even if you’re a year and a couple of months late from renewing your passport. Yay for DFA’s impeccable service. So people, renew your passports ahead of time!

Special mention to Hanna, Glenn, and Kass for helping me out for my passport dilemma. Also, I read a helpful post from the OAP maven, Mr. Anton Diaz.

P.S. You may have remembered Saab Magalona being invited to EMA’s Live Screening by MTV Asia, also in Singapore. Wala laaaaaaang… You know me naman when it comes to Saab, teehee! I’m so freaking excited!

P.S.S. I won’t even deny. This will be the first time I’ll be out of the country.

Can’t. Hide. EXCITEMENT,
J
