Oxygen S/S12

Oxygen‘s show for the Philippine Fashion Week is one of my most anticipated shows of the season. Ever since the preview that we had at their Trinoma branch, early October, I’ve been very excited for this collection and collaboration with Marcela Guttierez!!!

1Summer is all about comfortable clothing. Time for sheer and thin fabrics, subdued hues, and shorts!

3But it does not mean you cannot be edgy. Oxygen shows us how to style with the right edge and comfort

8Layering can be a bit of a problem in the summer season, especially for a sweat machine like me, but this collection is too comfy to make one break a lot of sweat.

9Reminds me of summer parties way back in college

It was an awesome show! If you’ve been following me through Twitter, you’ll know that I made kulet for them to upload their runway mix! And here it is! This playlist kept me inspired while doing this post! Congratulations to Oxygen for setting the bars up for every collection without veering away from the aesthetic that they’ve been known for. Y’all should be proud too! Oxygen is an all-Filipino brand making waves here and, soon abroad!

Came to the show straight from work, hence the backpack. But I love that backpack that I got for over 50% off, LOL! Spacious and just the right size. Anyway, I haven’t thought of the inspiration for that day’s outfit, until I realized it’s so Star Trek-ish! Or outerspace chic, whatchamahcallit! LOL! I think this is what watching too much Big Bang Theory does to you!

Freego S/S12

I was surprised when Wrangler’s PR invited me to PFW, knowing that they are not participating in this season. Then they cleared it out to me that it’s Freego doing the show and not them. My bad for not checking the schedule, tee-hee!

This time around I went with my friends at work, Jen and Nica. It was their first time to watch PFW. We kinda arrived late, so we didn’t have any seat AND my camera battery was drained! LIKE HOLY MOTHER OF ASDFGHJKL!!!!! I was freaking out and good thing Jen has her very convenient Lumix in her bag. That really saved my day. I should buy one of those soon.

I love denim!!! Almost all of the shows that I watched this season are denim brands and I love them all. It’s so flexible I can wear it anytime – Summer, Holiday, Fall and Winter (chos lang!) Also it’s not that difficult to style. It goes along with almost every piece in my closet. Convenient, indeed!

Punchdrunk Panda x Bloggers: All-New Camera Straps!

Before we launch the much-awaited addition to the PdP arsenal of weapons of mass funkiness, Punchdrunk Panda decided to throw a preview to five photographer-bloggers. This is the first project I held for PdP, and so it was nerve-wracking nevertheless fun all at the same time!

DSC_0561I love this place so much! Creativity surges!

DSC_0567

We gathered them in a nifty and snug coffee place, Subspace Coffee House (which I will be featuring in a separate post.) Oh the joy in their eyes when they saw the newest designs by Rob ChamJoseph VelasquezPat Manlapas, and PdP’s very own, Gail Go.

DSC_0563

One by one, the bloggers poured in. Alexis, Eileen, David, and Arriane were the lucky few who saw these babies first! David loved it so much he just had to buy one!

We came up with a photo challenge. Each one has to model the camera straps and shoot each other’s photos! It was magulo, makulet, but super duper fun! We had to move the furniture a number of times! I miss it now as I’m typing this post.

Quick plug: We will be at the Global Pinoy Bazaar at the Rockwell Tent this November 5-6! You can buy your camera straps and other PdP items there! See you there!

Guess S/S12

The first show that I’ve been to for the Philippine Fashion Week is Guess’ show. This will be the first time Guess clothing will participate in the PFW.

Guess is a brand that will always remind me of timeless classic designs that have strikingly new and sexy touch on them. The Guess fashion show is just laid back and sexy (I’ve used this word many times for this post, maybe it’s their ads, LOL!) just as how the brand strikes the audience. This may be new for some people who regularly watch Philippine Fashion Week, given the radical and dynamic growth the local fashion industry has experienced lately. But definitely, Guess is a welcome change.

And look up there, Sanja Smith was on the DJ booth!!! I so love her (but apparently, didn’t have a picture with her. #fail)

I saw some more bloggers outside the function room! Say hello to the chinky-eyed beauty, Ava Te.

Thanks to Miko for taking my outfit photo.

Sorry for that dorky facial whatnot! But I was feeling a bit military and Oxygen’s reversible jeans are just the right pair with the boots. And I really like to go denim because I love Guess denims (don’t ask: my Guess denims are so worn out already, they had their time. LOL!) Put on a blazer, it’s now not-so-military and casual. Oh the magic blazers do!
