Carved from the mind, made straight into material, Mister brand puts a modernistic spin on classic men’s attire. The inherently stylish, San Francisco born designers engineer their garments to contain quality and comfort, with superior attention to detail and everlasting style.

Largely manufacturing their clothing in San Francisco gives Mister brand the opportunity to not only enrich it’s community, but the capability to chaperon every garments construction from start to finish. Mister, made for all men, and for every wardrobe.

Here in the Philippines, Mister is exclusively distributed by Greyone Social at Greenbelt 5. Along with brands like Vans, Hellz Bellz, Dissizit, and couple more of hip-hop-skater feel brands, the addition of Mister in the racks of Greyone Social adds an opposite but welcome complement. I particularly liked the minimalist and basic tees with a subtle diversion to prints. Also the reversible collar in the shirt is an interesting piece.

A couple of accessories like this wooden bow is also part of the Mister collection at Greyone Social. I like how this is in collaboration with our local designers and manufacturers. Dee Jae Paeste, who designed the absolutely amazing pieces for Mister, is a proud supporter of Postura PH, also. Spot him wearing some indigenous tribal accessories below:

I was in Greyone Social as well, so I took the chance to spot some items I think y’all would be interested to:

These shoes are made from paper. But they don’t tear, and are water-proof! Civic Duty sneakers are definitely in my wish list!

Vans shoes can be also bought in the store! My eyes are on the new high cuts!

One last hurrah for this post: shout out to Greyone Social’s fabulous owner, Ms. Rosario Herrera for personally showing me around, and introducing me to people. She has been a very accommodating host, and it has been a worthwhile trip to Greenbelt, which is a bit far from where I work and live. Well, that’s even aside from Mister’s beautiful collection!

I thought I’d give ode to the Greyone vibe but I really don’t wanna go all hip-hop ’cause it’s not who I am. This Oxygen top (which fabric btw is perfect for the summer) helped me stick to my own style while deviating for a bit. Added love for this top: I got it for 30% off!!!

I really am not a fan of this year’s batch of American Idol contestants, but after seeing this – the restraint but equally proportional energy is just amazing! Perfect for the blue day that is today… Why is it raining in SUMMER?!

May the odds be ever in your favor

I can’t wait for the 22nd!!!! My birthday week (and month for that matter) is really getting better by the moment! I’ll stop blabbering before I spoil any detail, but all I know is that Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) is mine (lawlz!) It helped that I got to read the book when I already saw who’s playing Peeta, though I’d prefer Gale to be a hotter character (Liam Hemsworth is a wrong choice.) But having Peeta look like this —

— helps my imagination immensely. Magkasala na kung magkasala haha! GAD PEETA Y U SO HAWT?

I’m printing this ID Card before I watch the premiere!!! District 4 represent yo! Am zeh hottest fisherman alive.

So yeah, forgive the unnecessary fanboying, aside from a hot guy playing Peeta (and that jaw porn, gawd) Hunger Games is really a fast-paced riveting pageturner.

P.S. This is the fastest book I’ve ever read, considering that I’m working and that I have the attention span of a three year old. No, really. Seriously.
P.S.S. Ok. Back to Peeta… PEETAAAAAAAAA —

Waiting for this scene in the movie!

LSS of the week: Louder by Charice

This is what me and my friends would call panty liner sounds. LOL! Nothing derogatory though – we love the song! It just has the vibe of something that can be used in a sanitary napkin commercial. Love that it’s so upbeat though.

I just can’t fathom how sucky the styling in this music video. And why not get more and better dancers, and just let Charice emote throughout the song? Really, two dancers can’t hide how bad she is at dancing and not as good as she is at singing. SHE CAN’T DANCE, KAY?

So yeah, I love the song, but the video… SRSLY CHARICE?

Whitney, watch this from wherever you are

I know we must not make light of the demise of one of the world’s greatest voices. I just thought Whitney Houston will laugh at how creative people can get with her songs. She has inspired, not only singers, but people in general with her songs of love, encouragement, inspiration, and positivity. And even with this parody, I still think that Whitney has served a great deal of inspiration.

On other news though, how do I watch the Grammy’s while on the go? Need to watch that Coldplay performance and the Whitney tribute. Hmmmmmmm.

P.S. And oh, how intriguing it is that she died on the eve of the world’s premiere music award-giving night. I say depression is involved. Nevertheless, we love you W!

MDNA of the Rocks

KABOWG!
Madge tells us no one’s too old to rock and groove!
Though, really, she can’t flex that much anymore… *creys*
I love that she started with Vogue! Powerful beginnings are powerful!
*at this early, I’ll ask you to excuse the exclamation abuse :P*
LMFAO kinda watered down the performance IMHO…
WHO IS MIA? And there goes Nicki doing crazy faces again!
They both look like a slut. And Madge looks younger than them.
My friend thought Ceelo was Andre Leon Talley! LOL, must be the robe?
Akshuli, ang lakas maka-Sister Act ni Ceelo Green
It actually felt like the church of Madonna, on the final segment.
How is Madonna NOT ageing?
Love the knee-high, high-heeled booties. IS SHE REALLY 50+?
Or maybe they’re hiding the real MDNA (this is mindfuckin’ creepy)
On that note: FREE THE REAL OLD MADONNA (LOL!)

Nevertheless, we all love her Givenchy ensemble. You know you did!!!

P.S. Forgive the mind-vomit. I was just really stunned by her performance. For non-sports people like me, it’s the best we can get from Super Bowl.
P.S.S. Nvm the title, I was just thinking how to make it witty/catchy/unconventional, errrr… lol!

LSS of the week: Love on Top by Beyonce

I think I should do this every week! Srsly, I’ve set up a playlist named LSS already and just put it on repeat all day. I really get so addicted to songs easily that I do this almost every freakin’ time!

And since it’s the love month… errr, not that I have one, k? Beyonce just nails this song, maybe still love drunk after giving birth. I know I’m not making any logic yet again, just forgive my rationalizing skills, k? ANYWAY, I digress. It does not mean that I don’t have a date this V-day *ehem, ehem* that there’s no reason to listen to these cheesy songs… Malay nyo ba, LOL!

Basta YOU put my love on TOP, okay? :P

Now everybody asks me why I’m smiling out from ear to ear.
(They say love hurts)
But I know
(It’s gonna take a little work)
Nothing’s perfect, but it’s worth it after fighting through my tears
And finally you put me first

*kilig, kilig*

On The Loop

This is one random playlist I’ve been listening to since I got sick just this last weekend. Hey, no judgin’, okay? —

What Makes You Beautiful – One Direction

You know me well enough if you know that I’m in it for the boys rather for the song/tunes/melody/shit I say when I turn these kind of songs on the loop. HAHA! The teenybopper me witnessed the birth (and demise, actually) of boy bands. I think there’s a boy band revival going on with all of these boy bands in the music scene. (No, not just KPOP. No offense.) Just look at how lovely Zayn Malik’s eyes are!!! I’m not sick all of a sudden. CHOS!

We Found Love – Rihanna

It’s no secret this is my current LSS so yeah, let’s put RiRi in this playlist… BUT WAIT! Watch this Bangkok version — this will make you laugh so hard you’d feel like your intestines coming out of your mouth! I’ll give props to my Thai sisters for sucha good rendition! RiRi would approve and be ashamed all at the same time!

Domino – Jessie J

Been hearing a lot about this song (yes, especially from my crush who frequently uses lyrics for BBM status) so I tried to give it a try. It had me dancin’ in the moonlight. Not too party, I approve! And oh, I love whoever styled Jessie J for the MV!

Stronger (What doesn’t kill you) – Kelly Clarkson

My song for all those who have bleeding ailing hearts/bodies/whatnots/or in my case, bronchitis (charot, kungwari hindi emo :P) Listen to Mama Kelly – What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. Srsly, I love Kelly’s songs ’cause they don’t just apply to love (contrary to what others think.) I’m beginning to think that Kelly Clarkson is the rockstar version of Oprah.

Mr. Know It All – Kelly Clarkson

Alright, I know it’s kinda baduy to put the same artist in one playlist. But I just can’t help to include this song. Just so because I have someone to sing this to. NOT. BITTER. PERIOD. CHOS, HAHA!

Last Friday Night – Katy Perry

Because Friday is the last day my lungs were doing its function and not the antithesis of it, and Katy Perry was here and was so landi in her concert yesterday!!!

Glad You Came – The Wanted

Hahaha, need I explain myself? I think this is One Direction after some seven years. Though, seriously I like the beat of the song. Very coherent to what seems to be the feel of this playlist. Hey, this is a random playlist – no judging! :P

Rumor has it – Adele

My favorite Adele song so far, after Rolling in the Deep and Turning Tables. Amazing tunes, really. I really envy that we are almost just the same age and there she goes making waves already. 22 is not young, but not old yet, I always tell myself. You stand as an inspiration, Adele. Though seriously, stop smoking.

What The Water Gave Me – Florence + The Machine

This is my favorite from their Ceremonials album. I always feel spiritual whenever I hear Florence Welch sing. I know this sounds kinda cliche, but their songs really speak to the soul. It soothes a certain wound in the heart, if you know what I mean. I definitely would kill for a VIP seat if Florence + The Machine comes here and have a concert!

Every Teardrop is a Waterfall – Coldplay

Coldplay is on every playlist I’ve played for the past three months already. I love love love Coldplay and am really brokenhearted to find out they’re not going here for their concert tour. Anyway, Every Teardrop is a Waterfall is my favorite from their latest album, Mylo Xyloto (which I used to type as Xylo Myloto, so awkwaaaard) I’m no music expert and I can’t describe what I start to feel whenever I hear Coldplay playing (on the player, that is.) But all I know is that I feel happy and free when I listen to them.

And again, from the top.

***

For those following me on Twitter you might have known this already. I hate being sick, especially if it has something to do with my lungs. I’m almost bedridden for the last couple of days, and I really loathe not being able to do anything (I can’t even sleep because I can’t breathe) for the whole day. Spent the weekend coughing, sniffing, running to bathroom to spit phlegm (alright, TMI, I know) and I think I downed around ten pills just for the weekend, and my mouth really taste so bitter now. I could really use a trusty serving of Jasmine Aloe Vera now.

Whew, what a rant. Actually, I’m feeling a bit better now but I still can’t go out of the house. So I guess, I’ll just keep listening to these party upbeat songs til I can go out and see friends again.

Oh, bummer. This on repeat or I’ll just watch Gossip Girl S05E11 a lil’ later. No judging.

What it takes to come alive

I never really got that wild in the club – psychedelia and all that; I honestly attest that my over-the-top already was sexy dancing with this one guy I will never ever mention, of course that’s after downing a number of tequila shots (no body shot included, lol. I wish haha!)

Now while I lied low already from my clubbin’ life (signs of ageing, lol. I prefer more like book clubs, movie nights, and board games now) I only attend parties when I’m invited and if this song is played. I love you RiRi for this song! Mad tunes, and a really upbeat, danceable tempo!!

Shine a light through an open door
Love and life I will divide
Turn away cause I need you more
Feel the heartbeat in my mind

P.S. The MV reminds me of Requiem for A Dream starring Jared Leto. Google and download that film!
