Daphne Osena-Paez collaborates with Bench Homescents

“I believe that home fragrances are just as important as personal scents,” she says. “It is the final touch in creating a well-dressed home.”

- Daphne Osena-Paez

DSC_0012

I was a bit confused when I was invited to Bench and the venue was Dimensione and they mentioned a collab with Daphne Osena-Paez (which btw I am a big fan from her Urban Zone days!) And true enough it is something to do with HOME.

DSC_0013

Quoting Daphne…

“For as long as I could remember I always had room scents — whether it was candles, sprays, sachets or drawer liners. I want my home always smelling fresh and clean. I would tell these stories frequently on my blog Daphne.ph.”

The resulting trio reflects these sensibilities. “I wanted the fragrance line to reflect different moods. When I was creating this with the Bench team, I was imagining actual rooms. I took inspiration from food, travel and colors.”

DSC_0014

For as long as I can remember, homescents are the least of my concern when designing my home. After the afternoon tea with Daphne, I instantly appreciated the value of home fragrance – how it helps set the mood or change the mood, whichever is needed. AND MY FAMILY APPRECIATES AND LOVES IT TOO!

DSC_0016My friend Angel won the Daphne chair worth P15,000! UBER COOL!

Aside from the home fragrance, Daphne also officially launched her chair collection! Each Daphne chair is carefully handmade by an award-winning, export-accredited furniture company. They are so cute but not to be fooled ’cause it’s masterfully engineered to last.

Daphne x Bench Homescents are available in three fragrances. Mint Jasmine Infusion is a mix of floral and mint, inspired by an outdoor kitchen in Tuscany. Homemade Lemon Tart is reminiscent of freshly-baked pie, a universal scent designed to appeal to all ages and lifestyles. Acres of Lavender, which aids in sleep, is woodsy, soothing and relaxing.

Daphne Home Scents retail at Php348.00 each and is available at Dimensione stores and selected Bench stores nationwide.

Go mobile with MiLi

I’ve been living with my Blackberry phone for quite some time and it has been there in my high and low times. Well, aside for my personal transactions, it’s where I work sometimes because basically my job revolves around Facebook and Twitter. And add to that when I randomly become lazy to open Toshi, my netbook, I have been a heavy Blackberry user ever since.

MiLi Power Miracle image 1

The only drawback from every phone, I think, is the battery life. Seriously, when I work – and I mean Twitter, BBM, YM, and the office apps are on, my battery is only good until less than half a day. Yeah, and I’m out of the house for 25 hours. And it’s such a hassle to find cafes with enough sockets. It’s sad but good thing, I have MiLi!

MiLi Power King image 1

Maybe I’ll get this next – it’s for bigger devices like iPad and laptops!

MiLi is just a simple innovation – it’s a mobile power storage which you plug to your smartphone and et voila – izz like God’s heaven sent to people who use up their batteries at the midday!

And now they have a promo running from June 15 to July 31! If you buy a Power Star for your smartphone, you get a Pocketpal 1A USB adapter! You can avail of this promo in the following outlets:

Ambassador Appliances (Shangri-La, Park Square, VMall)
Astroplus (SM Makati, VMall, Mall of Asia)
Astrovision (Greenbelt 5, Shangri-La, Trinoma, Robinson’s Ermita)
Beeper City (VMall, Greenhills)
Globotel (Greenbelt 1)
Mobile 1 (Park Square, Rockwell, ATC)
Office Warehouse (Paseo Center, Rockwell, Fairview, Shangri-La, Mall of Asia)

PhFW Holiday ’12: Michael Cinco & Rajo Laurel for Bench

Michael Cinco: Impalpable

DSC_1009

DSC_1011Reminds me of a French park in some french movie set in the 1920′s

DSC_1012

This season Bench went away from their usual fashion shows and decided to give us a show. Introducing the new celebrity-designer perfume line, dubbed as Impalpable by world-renown Filipino designer Michael Cinco. Bench and Cinco did not just put up a perfume launch, they also brought Cinco’s prized bridal gowns and America’s Next Top Models Dominique and Allison. SMX was in an uproar!

Meanwhile, at the room next to Cinco’s jaw-dropping (figure out what made my jaw drop, it wasn’t so hard to see :P) show, was Rajo’s energetic take on launching yet another celebrity-designer perfume line called Rajo Uno and Rajo Dos. There were dance numbers, rockeoke, cheerdance face-off, and the celebs just went out to spend time with their fans. Enchong Dee was a crowd favorite… but it was also Rajo Laurel’s birthday celebration!

PhFW Holiday ’12: Oxygen

DSC_0848

Every season, I always look forward to Oxygen’s PhFW show and I see to it that I never miss the fun – which is always epic so many levels, from the runway to the after party! This year, Oxygen takes another twist by being color forward. I haven’t seen Oxygen like this before, what with their fresh new take with the preppy-clean style. Though I’d really prefer their androgynous direction, this is something new for them and they’re good at it!

1

2I love the cut of their jeans! It’s the only perfect fit (well, that’s for me)

3

4Polka-dots are returning this holiday season! Check Oxygen’s polka-dot shirts!

5

6I’m loving their jackets and blazers!

7

9

10Cardigans for the holidays – classic!

11How do you love painting the town red, huh?

12

13

16

17And I’m really glad Oxygen did not forget about their monochrome-loving friends – loving these black and white ensembles

PhFW Holiday ’12: The Ramp – Crossings

DSC_0556

AND IT’S TIME FOR MY PHILIPPINE FASHION WEEK REVIEW! First show I saw this season, which also opened the whole week of fashion smorgasbord, is The Ramp – Crossings with Mixology.

1

2I love the suspenders, and how that kid’s so dapper! Mixology is all about mixing these bold and subtle prints with color!

3Mix the pantone of the year (Tangerine) with these light and pastel colors, and end with a slightly bolder color  for shoes.

4

5

6Ready for the holiday vacay?

9

10Plaid seems to be having a come back this year

11

12But neutrals are classics. Accentuate with colors and defining cuts

13

14Gold/chrome/copper/metal tones + prints

15Florals and animal prints are still fighting fierce this season, as it has been for the past couple of.
