Singapore-lah!

I just came back from Singapore! And I have so much to tell you. I’ve been to Laneway Festival, temples left and right, and gad, the food — THE FOOD! I don’t know where to start, lah!

However, I am still organizing my thoughts and resting for work tomorrow. PLUS, I am still in my state of ecstasy and I am controlling myself not to book another flight anywhere. AH, TRAVEL. I have to save though – especially for my new blog this month…

Vintique is App of The Weeque

Haha, idk why I typed that, but it just rhymes and it sounds good. LOL!

Ayway, this week, the App Store introduced its App of the Week featuring Vintique. At first glance Vintique looks like your usual Instagram shit – filters, frames, and that kind of stuff you see going on almost every Instagram-inspired app. But Vintique is different. It has more filters, and it has Photoshop-level powers! I think photographers who don't have time to open their laptops to edit their photos can take advantage of this app. It has saturation, temperature, tint, hue, exposure, and gamma levels available for tweaking if you're one OC photographer.

What I don't know is if it's a paid app before it became App of the Week. It wouldn't hurt to download it now, just in case it is though, haha.

Terry Richardson-esque

Terry Richardson was is well-known for his simple yet impactful single flash photography aesthetic, for which I am guilty that he is always the inspiration whenever I use flash in my photos. And this time, who more appropriate but my friend Thysz to model for me – sucha natural. Maybe I can do more shoots like these :)

Yet again, this is one long overdue post, but also true, I still feel how fun this party was! STATUS Magazine throws THE. BEST. PARTIES. evarrrrrrrrr! Just look at those faces ——— DRUNK BY 6PM!

Ayala Style Origin: Mensweek @ Market! Market!

Jake Cuenca is the face of Mensweek for its The Fort leg. Previous celebrities who represented Mensweek were Enchong Dee and Joseph Marco.

Jerome Salaya-Ang

Mixed and varying textures is the strength of Ang’s collection for men, which is very in sync with its female counterpart.

Matching prints on hoodies and socks *check!*

Gold and black plays a big role in the color scheme in this collection. Pretty reminds us of Alexander McQueen in late 2010 and 2011.

This leggings with cutout O____O is just so phenomenal. I need ‘em but I still don’t know if I can pull it off. Heh.

Nixon Marquez

As with Nixon’s Philippine Fashion Week collection, and as with his other collections, the strength of his clothes will be in the unique cuts and silhouettes it creates with the body.

I love this hoodie!

Pajamic cotton pants – buy this early for the sweaty summer season. It’s a welcome alternative to denim, at least.

Noel Crisostomo

Noel Crisostomo being put in the third and last slot was refreshing. His style varied immensely from the first two designers, but that doesn’t mean he’s lesser talented. Clean cuts and boxy geometric silhouettes are his strength in this collection. Also, attention to detail – be sure to catch the snakeskin lining in some of his pieces.

The collection feels like a summer in the Philippine Hamptons – wherever that is, haha!

PhFW Holiday ’12: Michael Cinco & Rajo Laurel for Bench

Michael Cinco: Impalpable

Reminds me of a French park in some french movie set in the 1920′s

This season Bench went away from their usual fashion shows and decided to give us a show. Introducing the new celebrity-designer perfume line, dubbed as Impalpable by world-renown Filipino designer Michael Cinco. Bench and Cinco did not just put up a perfume launch, they also brought Cinco’s prized bridal gowns and America’s Next Top Models Dominique and Allison. SMX was in an uproar!

And then ANTM’s Allison Harvard happened. ALL. HEARTS. STOPPED.

And some boysssssssssssss. LOVEEEEEET!

Rajo Laurel: Rajo Revolution

Meanwhile, at the room next to Cinco’s jaw-dropping (figure out what made my jaw drop, it wasn’t so hard to see :P) show, was Rajo’s energetic take on launching yet another celebrity-designer perfume line called Rajo Uno and Rajo Dos. There were dance numbers, rockeoke, cheerdance face-off, and the celebs just went out to spend time with their fans. Enchong Dee was a crowd favorite… but it was also Rajo Laurel’s birthday celebration!

Nixon’s 90′s carefree attitude and style in his clothes are very evident. I love the looseness and the monochrome in this collection.

Congratulations to all the designers who put so much love and effort for this show! It was great to see Filipinos really have talent – in whichever field they choose!

PhFW Holiday ’12: Oxygen

Every season, I always look forward to Oxygen’s PhFW show and I see to it that I never miss the fun – which is always epic so many levels, from the runway to the after party! This year, Oxygen takes another twist by being color forward. I haven’t seen Oxygen like this before, what with their fresh new take with the preppy-clean style. Though I’d really prefer their androgynous direction, this is something new for them and they’re good at it!

I love the cut of their jeans! It’s the only perfect fit (well, that’s for me)

Polka-dots are returning this holiday season! Check Oxygen’s polka-dot shirts!

I’m loving their jackets and blazers!

PhFW Holiday ’12: Premiere B

Gold and white really looks good together. I love also the clinical feel.

Details on lapels and pockets, very subtle.

The one in the middle is my favorite from the whole collection

These look very minimal and comfortable to wear. I like the white details.

Shoulder and collar details.

Cutouts looks intricate, but is the least of my favorite.

The one on the left reminds me when Marc Jacobs wore a Commes des Garcons lace dress to the Met Gala.

Ezra Santos

The menswear looks like dhoti kurta of the Indians. The lace details are a naughty addition.

Metallics incorporated to dresses. And more lace numbers for the men.

I’m not keen with the old rose color, but when combined with metallic details, it kinda works for me.

Shoulder details for both men and women

…and headdresses!

From all the menswear, the one in the right is my favorite because of all the drape details.

Kermit Tesoro

Gold, black, and metals seemed to be the theme with the heelless shoes Tesoro has been known for.

Some of the pieces are still reminiscent of his Knights Templar – inspired menswear collection which he presented in Style Origins’ Mensweek

But he takes it to another level – they’re not just shoes, they’re HOOVES *surreal!*

The brown heelless pair is so minimal!

And for the final two looks, Tesoro featured crab claw heelless shoes. I bet those models had a difficult time strutting those because they look so calculated while walking!
